Good morning!
I took the week off of all my other jobs in order to plan this summer's festival in earnest, and I'm really thrilled to announce this summer's concert repertoire. It's all posted on the website (along with concert dates and locations), so please check it out when you have a chance! As I've been organizing everything this week, once again the Jamaica, VT community has immediately stepped up with incredible generosity and good will in order to make all of this happen. Sometimes I pinch myself that I'm so lucky to be part of such a wonderful place. This summer's budget is once again $25,000. I just got a $4000 donation confirmed, so that's where we're starting! Please consider donating to make this summer's festival possible (the link is below). As you know, the funding is crowdsourced each summer. It's amazing to have so many supporters come together to make music happen in a beautiful and special place. Thank you for your help in being part of the group of donors, and in spreading the word!Regardless of whether you can donate now (or later), we hope to see you at the concerts in early August. It's all shaping up to be a wonderful 12th season! You can donate by mailing a check made out to "Inscape Chamber Orchestra" with "PFCM" in the memo line: Susanna Loewy 4637 Spruce St Philadelphia, PA 19139 OR Donate Online Already counting down to summertime in Vermont, Susanna Loewy Founder & Executive Director Last night's concert was so much fun. Thank you to everyone for coming to the concert last night, and for supporting the festival throughout the week. We're so happy to have been back here in Jamaica, and we can't wait for next year's festival. If you came to any of the events over the past week, let us know what you thought. Your feedback helps us make future events better. Once again, thank you for everything! What a lovely week... thank you to everyone who has come to the concerts and supported this fantastic season of the Pikes Falls Chamber Music Festival.
Yesterday we played at Bromley Manor for an appreciative audience, and then enjoyed the absolutely perfect Vermont summer day. Tonight is the concluding concert at the Jamaica Town Hall. We'll be playing music by Schumann, Schoenberg, a new piece by PFCM composer-in-residence Nathan Lincoln-Decusatis, and we'll end with a musical surprise. The Town Hall was a full house at the Tuesday night concert, so reserve your seat now! We're really looking forward to performing tonight, and most importantly -- thank you all for a great return to Jamaica. Last night's concert in Grafton was so much fun. We had a great audience, and enjoyed playing. If you came to the concert, let us know what you thought about the evening!
Today, we're happy to play portions of our next program at Bromley Manor in preparation for our final performance Saturday evening at the Jamaica Town Hall. As always, check out the repertoire details on our Dates and Events page and reserve a seat! The week has gone so quickly! We're already thinking about next year's plan. |
