If you look through the "Musicians of Pikes Falls" and "Festival Dates and Events" pages, you'll see lots of new and updated information.
I'm excited to welcome several new musicians to PFCM this summer; check out the bio pages of violist Dana Rokosny, oboist Bethany Slater, and conductor Richard Scerbo. More bios will be unrolled over the next couple of days. The concert repertoire has been thrilling to determine. This year, we'll be featuring a Hallman piece on every concert, while also including classics by Mozart, Schubert, Debussy, and Ravel. The Afternoon Family Concert and Music/Art Collaboration follows the theme of the "Fantasy;" kids and adults are all welcome to explore the influence of fantasies on both visual art and music while creating fantasy-inspired artwork. The collaboration will be led by art and music educators Natasha Loewy and Kelly Crosslin. Following the concert will be an open rehearsal, a potluck, and an open mic session... so plan to come with your whole family (and your instruments!) and enjoy the day. The summer may still feel far away, but it'll approach soon enough... and I'm certainly already counting down the days til we're all up in Jamaica again. Comments are closed.
